The Center for Urban Epidemiologic
Studies (CUES) is a research consortium established by the
New York Academy of Medicine in partnership with The New York
City Department of Health, and in cooperation with multiple
collaborating institutions. CUES was developed to conduct
collaborative, multi-disciplinary, population-based research,
with a special focus on low-income, disadvantaged populations,
in order to bring about a better understanding of diseases
and other threats to health concentrated in urban areas.
Founded in 1921, the Council
on Foreign Relations is a nonpartisan membership organization,
research center, and publisher. It is dedicated to increasing
America's understanding of the world and contributing ideas
to U.S. foreign policy. The Council accomplishes this by promoting
constructive discussions and by publishing Foreign Affairs,
the leading journal on global issues.
