Why Global Health
Working Together to Respond to Global Health Threats

Fragmentation and lack of information sharing among stakeholders in health around the world is preventing us from developing adequate responses to global health challenges. These stakeholders include academic and business communities, health practitioners around the globe, national and international health agencies, policy makers, community advocates, grassroots and humanitarian organizations and practitioners of complementary and non-western medicine.

Consequently, all CGH programs are developed and implemented with public and private-local and international- academic and community-based partners.

A principal strategy of CGH is to take advantage of New York University’s vast internal resources including the various centers and initiatives within the School of Medicine and other schools at NYU. The objective is to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, pool resources and integrate methodologies and perspectives from other disciplines.
