African Services Committee
African Services Committee (ASC) was founded in 1981 by a group of African Refugees to provide resettlement assistance to new African arrivals throughout the New York metropolitan area. ASC provides relief and assistance to a diverse ethnic, immigrant and refugee groups in need of food, housing, medical care, legal services and other supportive counseling. The agency seeks to improve the health and overall self-sufficiency of new African arrivals who have come to New York City seeking relief from political oppression, poverty, war, famine and disease.

Alianza Dominicana
Alianza Dominicana, Inc. founded in 1987, is a community-based agency in Washington Heights (Manhattan). Made up of ten programs and six locations, the agency's mission is to provide comprehensive services to people who reside in or near Northern Manhattan and the Bronx.

Services include youth peer counseling, training and support; support group meetings for substance users, HIV support groups are provided in Spanish or bilingual; legal advocacy, HIV affected child therapy and family counseling is also available.
